Hello, Vintage (MG) Folks
Thank you for trusting me with this
position. I do not know the club or its
people very well yet so please keep me on
path. (Not too subtly.) I just finished
today removing the engine from my 1935 MG PA
Midget. I drove it to the tech session this
month but found it pouring out white smoke
on arrival back home.
A chunk of piston was missing along with
parts of both oil control rings. No other
damage that I can see yet but I cannot
remove the piston without a complete
teardown.

I rebuilt this motor 20 years ago and am
generally pleased with everything I did. I
really don’t know how many miles I have put
on it. The odometer shows only about 4000
miles but it hasn’t always worked. I will
replace the pistons and make improvements to
the cylinder head.
I hope you will renew your membership and
stay the course with us. Let us know how we
can better serve you.
Safety Fast!
